Church of the Arts

Imagine a vibrant worship service on Sunday mornings called Church of the Arts: welcoming, inclusive, creative!

Services are at 11am on Sundays at 4701 Park Place W in N Charleston.

About Us

We are a part of the Presbyterian Church (USA), which is often called a “big tent.” This means there are lots of different kinds of churches under this one umbrella. Church of the Arts is in the progressive category, which means everyone is welcome!

Meet the Pastor

Rev. Tricia Petraven

Tricia Petraven is an artist and a former scenic designer for the stage, who became a pastor as a second career. She believes in using our creativity and imagination to make art that points us to Jesus and helps us see God’s love.

Church of the Arts is being planted by the Charleston Atlantic Presbytery as part of the new church development program. Church of the Arts shares a building with the presbytery and uses the sanctuary that is part of that space, which is a former church. The concept for a Church of the Arts is partly due to the vision of the pastor, Rev. Tricia Petraven, who is an artist and a former scenic designer for the stage.
